Deciding When Is The Best Time To Move Your Family?
The best time to move your family depends on what your specific family needs and goals are. Many people think the best time to move is in the summer when the children are out of school. Moving at the end of the month or beginning of the month sometimes is more convenient because that is when the mortgage payment or rent payment is due.
Whether you chose to move in the summer or in the fall, the fact remains, moving can be stressful. However with some good planning, you can take the stress out of moving. Here are three simple tips to take the stress out of moving.
1. Plan ahead. Do not wait until the last minute to call a mover or other professional help. Poor planning can lead to last minute decisions and sub-par movers. Begin making arrangements four to six weeks prior to your moving date.
2. Make a moving checklist. When there is so many things to do assign different tasks to members of the family. Working together as a team, and keeping a task list will reduce the stress of moving.
3. Call a Realtor. Seriously, as a Realtor I have moved people across the country and back again numerous times. I am here to be your resource and make moving a stress-less adventure.
